About a week ago, we wanted to try something new. We decided to film a “How to” video of a Peruvian dish we knew very well, Papa a la Huancaina.
Here you can find the Recipe, and at the bottom of this page you will find the video.

Ingredients
Before you get started you will need the following:
- 1 Hard Boiled Egg
- 1 Potato
- 1 Aji Amarillo
- 1/8 of an Onion
- 1lb of Queso Fresco
- 1/4 Cup of Whole Milk
- 2 Teaspoons of Oil
- A pinch of Salt
Recipe
Note: This recipe has two moving parts. While you make the main Huancaina sauce, you must boil an egg, and cook a potato.
To begin, you will need to find your favorite blender and plug it in. The next step will require you to add the Queso Fresco, Onion, Aji Amarillo, and Milk to a blender.

Once those 4 items are added, its time to blend. As you start to blend these ingredients, you will begin to notice that it is becoming an orange sauce. Once you start to see this orange color, you can begin adding the oil slowly. Then finally, you finish with a pinch of salt.

Blend it some more until you have a perfect, creamy texture.

At this point you should have already cut your potato and boiled egg and placed them on a plate!

All you have to do now is pour the Huancaina sauce over the plate and Enjoy.
